Slip on your bright, comfy
and odourless socks with a purpose.
We didn’t want to simply bring another pair of socks to the market. Instead, the goal we aim to achieve through such an everyday object is to provide opportunities:
- to children, so they can avoid spending their childhood in a factory, e.g. sewing clothing for the western market
- to people who believe that small contributions can make a big difference
That’s why our socks are ethically made in the EU and why we’ve partnered with the British charity United World Schools.
It is here, in a European factory, where we combine soft combed cotton with Italian elastane and polypropylene silproX that includes active silver ions. SilproX is what gives Moilo socks their excellent antifungal, anti-bacterial and odour-inhibiting properties.
Once every colour has been knitted, the next step is embroidery before the socks head straight to the sheltered workshop for packaging.
Each carefully designed paper box is folded and filled with Moilo socks in a social therapeutic workshop, “Hope”, by the dexterous hands of people with mental disorders. We decided to include a sheltered workshop to add a little extra love and care to your colourful package and we believe you will feel the difference!
Once your lovely little box reaches you, don’t hesitate to repurpose it 🙂 For example, we think it makes a great container for all the miscellaneous objects lying around at home. We see it as an opportunity to be creative! Show us what you come up with on Instagram using the hashtag #moilorepurposed. We’re curious to see your ideas!
